Community Outreach Program

Our Volunteer Outreach Program is very important to us as it enables us to share our profits by giving back to our community. We select charitable programs that directly interest or involve our employees. We give both financial assistance and employee time.

Our current project involves the proposed nonprofit corporation of Continuing Advancement for Special Adults, (CASA). This nonprofit is attempting to become operational to meet the needs of "special adults" over 22 years old in search of an adult program promoting life independence through exposure to multiple environments.

The State of California finances their 22 regional centers and they distribute the funds to state certified programs. The existing adult programs are faced with under-funding and over-population. The existing programs are also lacking opportunities for advancement for the special adult population. The requirements to open an adult center involve licensing with the State of California, hiring qualified staff, and finding a facility to accommodate their needs. The adult program has been in the planning stage since 2000, and we are hopeful that the Continuing Advancement for Special Adults (CASA), will become a reality in the year 2003.
